Behold the 1983 Fender Telecaster Elite, a unique and polarizing creation that emerged during the brief yet impactful era of Fender's Elite series. In the grand history of Telecasters, this particular gem defies convention; a brainchild born from the visionary mind of Dan Smith, tasked with breathing new life into Fender's esteemed reputation.

Ascending from the neck, the Elite maintains the quintessential Telecaster essence with a twist—the fingerboard, a flat-radius rosewood 'slab,' diverging from the customary curved veneer. Yet, it's the departure below the neck that defines this guitar's character. A top-loading non-vibrato hardtail bridge and tailpiece, a departure from the Telecaster norm, beckons attention. The two dual-coil Alnico 2 noise-canceling pickups, channeled through an on-board active preamp and Fender's proprietary MDX and TBX controls, transform the sonic landscape.

Crafted from a 3-piece alder body this Telecaster Elite stands as a testament to innovation. A relic from a bygone era, it sparks a polarity of opinions—a Telecaster like no other before or since. A fusion of modernity and tradition, it embraces its predecessors while casting a gaze firmly into the future.

Fast forward to the present, and here lies a captivating 1983 Fender Telecaster Elite.

This guitar is in excellent condition for its age. It does show some signs of wear including minor wear on the fretboard, some body dings and scratches, and tarnishing on the hardware.

This Telecaster Elite stands as a polarizing testament to Fender's history and heritage. It is accompanied by its original ABS Hardshell Case.
