Ask any Telecaster legend and they will tell you that Danny Gatton was one of the best who ever lived. This 2002 Fender Custom Shop tribute to Danny Gatton is a beautiful homage to his heavily customized 50s Tele. The light honey-blonde finish contrasts sharply against the black pickguard and Bill Lawrence custom single coil sized humbucking pickups. 
The neck is made from a beautiful piece of birdseye maple, cut into a beefy "U" shape. 22 frets with cubic zicornium side markers lining the neck like jewels on a crown. 
Bright, twangy, biting, and crystal-clear. The Bill Lawrence pickups add grit and extra aggressiveness than your average tele. With a light turn of the heavely-knurled volume knob and/or an addition of a little dirt to the signal, the full potential of the Gatton Tele tone is manifested. This guitar is an eye-catching beauty, both tonally and visually. It would make a great addition to any telecaster fan or afficionado!
