Here's an exquisite example of the 2004 Gibson Custom Shop Chet Atkins L-10.
Built to the historical specifications of the original custom-ordered Gibson that Atkins acquired from Les Paul. The guitar gets its unique tonal capabilities from the late-1930s non-cutaway L-5 body. One unique feature of the Chet models is that fingerboard extendes to 25 frets.
The Chet Atkins L-10 has a carved spruce top with special multi-ply white/black checkerboard binding, and carved figured-maple back with single-ply white binding. The mahogany neck features a 19-fret ebony fingerboard with a 6-fret extension and split-diamond inlays. Les Paul custom-ordered the original L-10, with the extended fingerboard in 1938 because he wanted to access the upper-range notes. The guitar eventually came to Atkins and the rest is history.
This is an exquisite example of the Custom Shop Chet Atkins L-10. It is in unplayed condition with no scratches, dings, or play wear. Comes with the original hardshell case and all case candy shown in the photos.
Case may show minor signs of wear.
